All roles are open. Those 18+ are encouraged to audition. FTA actively supports DEI in all productions, and is seeking a diverse pool of performers for this collection of heartfelt, enchanting love stories.
How to Audition
Step 1: CLICK HERE and claim your audition slot.
Step 2: Once claimed, opt to do ONE of the following
- Memorize a 2-minute monologue of your choosing OR
- Read a scene from file/read monologue from play LINKED HERE.
Step 3: Please bring a headshot/resume with you. If you do not have a headshot, please bring a current photo of yourself.
Callbacks will be by appointment only Sept. 7. Some roles may be cast from initial auditions. If you're unable to make the available audition slots, please reach out to Francine Torres (Director) to make other arrangements: torresfrancine@fhda.edu.
Rehearsals
Rehearsals begin Tues., Sept. 22 and will run M-Th from 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. All rehearsals will be held at the Lohman Theatre on the campus of Foothill College in Los Altos Hills. Please note: Not all cast will be called for all rehearsals.
About the Show
Welcome to Almost, Maine, a place that’s so far north, it’s almost not in the United States. It’s almost in Canada. And it’s not quite a town, because its residents never got around to getting organized. So it almost doesn’t exist. One cold, clear, winter night, as the northern lights hover in the star-filled sky above, the residents of Almost, Maine, find themselves falling in and out of love in unexpected and hilarious ways. Knees are bruised. Hearts are broken. But the bruises heal, and the hearts mend – almost – in this delightful midwinter night’s dream
