Spreckels Theatre Company is pleased to announce the Tony Award-winning masterpiece Into the Woods, a clever musical comedy from Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine. Fairytales collide in a spellbinding adventure where wishes come true—but at a hard price. 

Follow Cinderella, Little Red Ridinghood, Jack, and a childless Baker and his Wife as they venture into the woods to chase their dreams, only to discover that happily ever after isn’t always what it seems. In this wickedly hilarious reimagining of Grimm Brothers fairytales, all of these classic characters run amok, crisscrossing through each other's storylines. 

One of Sondheim's most popular works, Into the Woods is a musically sophisticated show that springs to life through glorious melody and mischievous wordplay -- a sweeping theatrical experience not to be missed!
